Handmade woven goods
This project was started in 2005 by Planeterra in collaboration with three women from Ccaccaccollo community in Peru. It began as a way to support women from the traditional village when there were no other employment prospects. Over the years, Planeterra has funded training in weaving, knitting, sewing, and management, and today the "Kaytu" co-operative has approximately 55 members. G Adventures travellers touring the Sacred Valley can visit to see a demonstration of natural dyeing, weaving, and knitting techniques.
